Sex and the City 2 (2010) Dir. Michael Patrick King
I don’t have the Voguest idea how anyone in their right mind could treat this movie seriously.
A badly written, shallow, empty, infantile, sugarcoated waste! The creators clearly suffer from an intellectual menopause. Superficial problems of 4 phonies — how can I identify with problems of such gravity: “oh, my hubbie didn’t buy me a Tiffany’s ring for our anniversary” or ” I’m flying to Abu Dhabi first class”? And where the heck is Miranda? She’s disappeared under the layers of unnatural, forced smile, and been replaced with a dolled-up red-headed bimbo with a fake happy-go-lucky attitude. Not even a snark comment or sarcasm we love so much in her. What a disappointment! All in all, too much makeup & too many luxuries a regular girl will never see. Not all that glitters is gold – not every Sex and the City is smart & sexy.
Long days, pleasant nights,
